Doctor Who returns August 27th on BBC America
The second half of the 6th series (we call them seasons here on our side of the Pond) of Doctor Who will begin on August 27th on BBC America. Of course, we’ll be there to catch it at Beyond the Vortex!
We’re planning on a special “Series 6 Part 1″ marathon — probably the week before – Or, at least showing the last couple episodes so everyone can get caught up. After all, we don’t want any of our friends left out in the dust!

It is with great sadness that we have to report that the actress Elisabeth Sladen – forever known to us as the Doctor’s best friend, Sarah Jane Smith – has died. Attention all Whovians! Beyond the Vortex will host a Doctor Who Premiere Party on April 23rd at Freedom Deli! We’ll get started just a few minutes before the show’s premiere at 8:00 p.m.! Come join us as we celebrate the beginning of the 6th series of Doctor Who!
Okay, we know, it’s actually the 32nd series… not counting the 1996 movie… Or the 2nd series since Moffat took over. Egad! It’s so confusing!

Our humble little sci-fi/fantasy fan club, Beyond the Vortex will meet on Saturday Nights from now on, giving our members something to look forward to every week! So be sure to join us starting at 8:00 p.m. every Saturday night at Freedom Deli!
Also, make plans to join us for the premiere of series 6 of Doctor Who, the long-running British sci-fi show, starring Matt Smith as the Doctor.
